Phase l: Social Services Program

Social Service Department:
The Social Service Department is committed to being a voice and advocate for Black families, offering culturally specific services designed to meet their unique needs stopping violence against Black women and families while empowering individuals and communities through meaningful support and resources.
We serve as a comprehensive resource hub, connecting clients to vital community services and programs that foster stability, growth, and healing.
Our Services Include:
- Priority placement for families in urgent need
- Culturally specific intake, assessment, and eligibility evaluations
- Comprehensive case management with the focus on trauma informed care and culturally relevant solutions
- Advocacy and resources to address and prevent violence against Black women and families
- Access to Life Coaching/Mentorship program through Divine Warrior Life Coaching
- Enrollment opportunities at AlishaJacksonAcademy.com for personal growth, transformation, and inner healing.
- Guidance in navigating community resources and social services
- Customized support plans to address systemic barriers and challenges
Application Process:
As a faith-based organization, we are committed to serving our community with compassion and purpose. The first step includes intake, assessment, screening, eligibility determination, and priority placement.

The Program is deeply committed to uplifting Black families and ensuring that all individuals, particularly those within marginalized communities, have access to the care, support, and resources they deserve. Our program is dedicated to empowering families to achieve stability, prosperity, and homeownership, creating lasting change and opportunity for all.
Phase ll: Affordable Housing Program
Program Overview:
The Affordable Housing Program is designed to provide clients transitioning from Phase I with referrals and assistance to secure stable housing. this phase aims to connect participants with appropriate housing options tailored to their individual needs.
Services Offered:
- Transitional Housing Support (In house placement in private housing or resources/referrals)
- Access to Shelters (resources/referrals)
- Permanent Housing Vouchers (EHV) (resources/referrals)
- Rapid Rehousing (RRH) (resources/referrals)
- Placement in Market-Rate Units or Privately Owned Mixed-Use Housing (resources/referrals)
Application Process:
- Eligibility Assessment: Current Client Applicants will undergo a comprehensive intake evaluation and prioritization based on their needs.
- Client Applications: Submit a completed application form (coming soon)
- Agency Referrals: Referral forms completed by partner organization or agencies (coming soon)

Phase lll: Homeownership Program
Program Overview:
Upon successfully completing the Affordable Housing Program, clients will be eligible to transition into Phase III, where they will receive the following benefits:
Services Offered:
- Homebuyer education and counseling
- Access to homeownership opportunities, including available privately owned homes or market-rate properties
Application Process:
Phase III is specifically designed to assist low- to moderate-income families in achieving long-term stability and financial independence through homeownership. To qualify, applicants must meet specific program criteria.
Motivational Bible Scriptures:
- Proverbs 24:3-4: "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."
- Deuteronomy 28:8: "The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you."
- Isaiah 32:18: "My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest."
This program is designed to empower families to build a strong foundation for a secure and prosperous future.

Social and economic disparities persist within these communities, and addressing these disparities requires a multifaceted approach that combines immediate support with long-term empowerment.
To effectively serve these populations, it's essential to focus on both the systemic factors that perpetuate inequity and the individual-level resources that facilitate upward mobility. This means not only providing access to housing, education, and employment opportunities but also addressing the root causes of marginalization, including structural racism, historical inequities, and barriers to financial literacy.
By offering targeted programs that emphasize homeownership, financial literacy, and community building, our initiatives plays a crucial role in combating the generational cycles of poverty that disproportionately affect Black families and other historically underserved groups.
Homeownership, in particular, is a powerful tool for wealth-building and can significantly impact economic stability, health, and overall quality of life. Research consistently shows that Black families, on average, face significant barriers to homeownership, including discriminatory lending practices and a lack of generational wealth that would otherwise support their ability to purchase homes. Programs designed to provide education, mentorship, and access to affordable housing opportunities are essential in closing these gaps.
However, it's important to continuously adapt our approach, as the landscape of housing and financial services are evolving. Technological advancements, policy changes, and shifts in economic conditions can create new challenges but also open new avenues for support. Being proactive and staying informed about emerging trends in housing finance, community development, and social services will help ensure our program remains effective and relevant in the face of changing needs.
In addition to structural and resource-based interventions, fostering community empowerment through cultural competence, sensitivity, and tailored support services will further enhance the impact of our work.
By recognizing the unique needs of the populations we serve and incorporating culturally relevant strategies, our program can help build resilience, break cycles of poverty, and ultimately pave the way for greater economic mobility and community well-being.
